The 6 shots in the 6 shot sequence consist of extra wide,
wide, medium, over the shoulder, close up, and extra close up. Extra wide is head to toe of the actor and
the scene. Wide is the head to toe of
your actor. Medium is hips up, over the
shoulder is exactly what it implies, showing what the actor is doing. Close up is of the face only showing the
actor’s emotion, and extra close up is what the actor is doing, an up close of
their hands. I learned that if you don’t
know what you want to do while you’re filming or you don’t have everything you
need, it’s going to be very hard to film.
In my next project, I will take into account the correct amount of tie
it takes to prepare and get all of your shots and props planned out before you
start filming.
