AB Sequence

Some of the things I learned how to do during this project are camera tools and responsibility.  I also learned that the arrow keys are your friends. Another thing I learned during the AB Sequence is command i and o.  I used these to make sure my music and video made sense and lined up together well.  Some things that I will use for my next project are how to use the zoom on the camera and that when you think you are close you're not close enough.  Other things I will use are communicating skills.  Its good to be able to talk to your actor or actress to make the video look as best as it could.

Collaboration in my eyes is being able to communicate and get things done with your client or partner. This was a big contributor to the project because you and your partner had to communicate with each other during story boarding and filming so that the video looked good.  It also helps your people skills because you learn to work well with people who you don't usually talk to or new people

6 Shot Sequence

The 6 shots in the 6 shot sequence consist of extra wide, wide, medium, over the shoulder, close up, and extra close up.  Extra wide is head to toe of the actor and the scene.  Wide is the head to toe of your actor.  Medium is hips up, over the shoulder is exactly what it implies, showing what the actor is doing.  Close up is of the face only showing the actor’s emotion, and extra close up is what the actor is doing, an up close of their hands.  I learned that if you don’t know what you want to do while you’re filming or you don’t have everything you need, it’s going to be very hard to film.  In my next project, I will take into account the correct amount of tie it takes to prepare and get all of your shots and props planned out before you start filming.

Some of the short cut tools from Final Cut Pro I used are command b to cut my videos and music to fit the time limit.  I also used the command c and v to put my videos into FCPX.  Some other short cuts I used were the j, k, l, and spacebar keys so I could see how the music and my videos fit together.  Finally, the last short cut tools I used were command z and shift s to undo anything I did not mean to do and to put everything into perspective so I could see it.

The hobby I chose for my video is gymnastics.  I have been a competitive gymnast for 11 years now and it is very important to me and my life.  This is because I have developed a strong appreciation for not only my coaches but for my fellow teammates as well.  I am now a level 10 gymnast and I spend 16 hours a week at the gym.  I love this sport not only because of who I do it with but because it’s a sport not many people can keep up with.

One thing that I like about my dream house is my detail.  I like the detail in my sidewalk and how it goes to my garage from my porch.  I also like the detail in my landscape with the pumpkin, the grass and how it's blown up enough to where it doesn't look like grids, and the trees and where they're placed.  Another thing I like about the detail is my pool.  I like where it's placed and the tree that's next to it.

Some other things I like are the outside details of the actual house.  I like the dark color of my house and how it's all the same throughout the whole house.  I also like the dark grain color of my garage door and my regular door  although they could've been  little lighter so that they don't blend in as much with my actual house.  I also really like my porch and the steps leading up to the door.

My dream house will impact my part in ecomm because this will help me in the future to do 3D imaging and how to use SketchUp.  Watching others houses will help me know what other things i can do next time we do a project with Sketchup.

My animation is called "Gerome and the Tiki Toy."  It is about an alien who's planet explodes and launches him to Hawaii.  He then finds a Tiki Toy and names him Clifford.  When Gerome wakes up the next day he can't seem to find Clifford.  Come to find out, he'd been swept away by a volcano!  He asks a turtle if he'd seen him and the turtle answers no.  Then, he asks a nice little girl shark named Dahlila if she'd seen him and she in fact has Clifford!  She gives him back and asks Gerome if they need a place to stay.  He indeed does and they all live together at the bottom of the ocean but of course Gerome and Clifford live in a dome because they can't breathe under water.

Some things I don't like about my animation are the timing of the slides, the sound choice and the timing of the sound, and the quality of my slides:  how sloppy it is with the edges of the characters.  a few things I liked about it were how long I was able to make it, the detail of my characters and
how the sound matches with the actions.
